We provide a comprehensive range of cosmetic dental services, including tooth whitening, white fillings, crowns, bridges and veneers, orthodontics, implants, and facial aesthetics. Each treatment is unique to every patient and can be discussed during an appointment.
Many denture options are available if our patients require a denture(s). These may include a partial denture meaning a small number of teeth/tooth, or a full denture, where the entire arch can be replaced. Some denture options include acrylic, cobalt chrome, or a flexible denture. No two dentures are the same, each unique to the patient. We have carefully chosen a select few dental laboratories that always use the highest quality materials and the utmost care and attention in the design and construction of the dentures to ensure an attractive, long-lasting, and well-functioning appliance.
When an extraction is identified, it will likely be the only option available for the tooth/teeth, the patient’s preference, or following a treatment plan. Our dentist will extract the tooth as quickly and painlessly as possible. We have a wide range of local anaesthetics available to make the treatment as smooth and comfortable as possible for our patients.
The practice can provide wrinkle-relaxing injections and dermal lip fillers. We offer a free consultation appointment where these procedures can be discussed and priced.
There are many reasons why a filling may be needed. Whether from tooth decay, a broken or chipped tooth, or cosmetic reasons. Depending on the situation and the dentist's recommendation, there are many options for filling types/ materials. Filling materials include amalgam, composite, and glass ionomer.
Our dentists recommend regular visits to the hygienist. The hygienist can help care for teeth as effectively as possible between dental appointments and educate patients to prevent issues. They can also guide and advise on any lifestyle or medical issues affecting oral health. Our hygienists can treat active gum disease, which may have been diagnosed by one of our dentists. This often involves charting periodontal pockets, providing regular cleanings, and detailed, customised ‘at-home’ cleaning guidance.
An implant is an innovative solution to tooth loss; these are fixed into the jawbone and essentially replace the root of the tooth/teeth. Often a patient's favourite is a fixed solution, so unlike dentures, they don't need to be removed daily. We can effectively replace one tooth or several missing teeth. An implant is often referred to as the gold standard in modern dentistry regarding replacing teeth. If maintained and looked after correctly, it would be likely for an implant to last at least ten years. However, this can be longer with the correct care and attention.
Orthodontics is the term used for teeth straightening. This can be done with either removable or fixed appliances and usually takes 18 to 24 months to complete. A patient's favourite is Invisalign, a transparent aligner system. This is a more discreet option for an adult patient wanting orthodontics without the original 'train tracks.'
We know that a visit to the dentist can be an uncertain situation for little ones. Our team provides a safe, comfortable environment for children of all ages. They spend time with each patient, explaining the instruments and processes to alleviate fear. Whether a child attends an appointment with one of our dentists or a dental therapist, we will endeavour to provide a calm and positive experience.
Regular dental examinations are essential not just to detect tooth decay but to monitor the condition of the whole mouth. The soft tissue of the mouth and tongue should be regularly examined to screen for oral cancer and many other medical conditions that present symptoms before they can be noticed elsewhere in the body. The gums must also be checked regularly to ensure no gum disease is present.
(For existing patients at the Practice) We will endeavour to treat any emergency or oral surgery in-house quickly and efficiently. We have a full range of dental instruments and materials available within the practice; however, if a given case requires more complicated care, we can refer to our network of trusted specialists.
We offer a full range of restorative dentistry, including Crowns, Bridges, Veneers, and Inlays. Crowns include porcelain bonded, full metal, either precious or non-precious, fully porcelain, or zirconia. A bridge replaces a missing tooth by using the adjacent teeth to support a false tooth. Bridges include the Maryland bridge, cantilever bridge, or a traditional bridge. Veneers may be used to mask discoloured front teeth. Inlays are used instead of a filling in certain circumstances. All of these are available in many different materials, which can all be explained by one of our friendly dentists. They would give a recommendation and all of the options available, including a complete treatment plan, so the patient fully understands the options available.
Otherwise known as endodontics, this is a precise and highly skilled treatment we offer at the practice. Root canal treatment is most commonly needed when decay has reached the tooth's pulp, the tooth is heavily filled, badly broken, or infection is present due to the nerve being inflamed within the tooth. If left untreated, an abscess may develop. In most cases, where a tooth has a root filling, it will remain healthy and symptomless.
Our dentists can make custom-made sports guards with OPRO, the leading global manufacturer of the most technically advanced mouthguard, which received the Queen’s Award for Innovation in 2007 and 2019. We recommend a sports guard to help safeguard teeth when playing contact sports such as rugby, hockey, cricket, lacrosse, or martial arts. They are made from a solid yet pliable material that cushions teeth against damage such as chips, cracks, and tooth loss.
If you're interested in our "at home" teeth whitening service, we take an impression and send it to our laboratory to create personalised trays. We'll then schedule a follow-up appointment with you to fit the trays, provide the bleach, and give you instructions on how to perform the treatment at home.
